Who Handles a Billing Problem Versus a Treatment Question?

A contracts-focused guide to the documented contact roles at six GLP-1 services—and why customer support, clinical messaging and pharmacy help are not interchangeable.

A disputed charge and a question about medication can arrive in the same inbox, but they require different answers. Customer support may explain an invoice or route a cancellation request; a treating clinician decides whether a treatment plan should change. A pharmacy handles dispensing responsibilities. Before enrolling in an online GLP-1 service, understanding those divisions can be as important as finding the advertised price.

Public documentation consulted October 19, 2026, shows meaningful differences among CoreAge Rx, Ro, Enhance.MD, Sesame, Walgreens and Found. Some name separate administrative and medical organizations; others describe messaging channels without promising when someone will answer. This guide maps the documented roles and contract boundaries, not individual treatment choices. Where pages conflict, the practical next step is written clarification—not assuming the most favorable statement governs.

Start with the responsibility, not the logo

A familiar brand may cover several organizations. CoreAge Rx’s legal footer assigns medical evaluation, treatment planning and prescribing exclusively to independent professional entities: M & D Integrations Inc doing business as MD Integrations, MDI Medical Group P.C., and MD Integrations & Wellness Provider Group P.A. It describes DSO Fine Shrimp, doing business as CoreAgeRx, as the technology and administrative coordinator—not the medical provider or employer of the clinicians.

Enhance.MD similarly identifies its platform as administrative support, while its terms name Enhance Wellness PC, EnhanceMD CA PC and iThriveMD PC as medical groups. Walgreens assigns clinical control to independent medical practices rather than Walgreens Health Services LLC. These distinctions help identify who can answer a clinical question versus administer an account. Our guide to mapping platform, clinician and pharmacy responsibilities explains why the separate roles matter before payment.

CoreAge Rx gives explicit routing, but conflicting billing language

CoreAge Rx’s help center offers calls or texts at (307) 405-1638. It directs medical questions to the portal function labeled “Talk to the Doctor” and billing or technical matters to support@coreagerx.com. That is a useful division to preserve when writing: identify a charge as an account issue, and request clinical review separately when needed. Its “24/7 Provider Support” heading is broader than the accompanying text, which describes round-the-clock customer support.

Billing questions deserve particular precision here. The FAQ says payment occurs before medical review and promises an automatic 100% refund if a prescription is not approved; elsewhere it says medication is billed when shipped. The refund policy instead retains an applicable, nonrefundable $50–$100 consultation fee after an eligibility review. Ask support to identify the charge stage and applicable refund provision in writing. The FAQ’s approximately 24-hour initial medical-feedback estimate is not a continuing clinical response guarantee.

Ro separates clinical messaging from insurance coordination

Ro Body documents one-to-one provider messaging, regular check-ins, coaching and laboratory testing if necessary as membership features. Medication is not included in the membership fee. Its insurance concierge verifies benefits, handles paperwork including prior authorization when needed, and sends a prescription to the pharmacy after coverage is determined. A medication coverage problem therefore calls for an insurance-status inquiry; a treatment question belongs with the provider rather than being treated merely as a coverage ticket.

Ro’s advertised 24/7 care-team access does not specify a response deadline. Its insurance pages also describe different stages: approximately one to three weeks for coordination and approximately one to two weeks for an insurer’s prior-authorization review. Neither is a delivery guarantee. If coverage fails, Ro says a member can choose cash-pay medication or cancel membership, but the consulted documentation does not resolve general prepaid-plan refunds. Read the difference between a monthly price and a commitment before selecting a longer plan.

Enhance.MD publishes support hours and a clinical portal

Enhance.MD publishes 1-888-299-5088 and support@enhance.md, with support hours of 8 a.m.–8 p.m. EDT on weekdays and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. EDT on weekends. Its private portal lets patients review laboratory results and treatment and communicate with the care team. Those are documented access paths, not a promise of immediate clinical attention. The company says its medical providers are physicians and nurse practitioners licensed in the United States; that statement was not independently verified.

For account questions, identify the selected product and billing interval. The FAQ describes automatic renewal every 28 days, while product pages also show billing every 12, 24 or 48 weeks. The terms say cancellation must precede the next billing cycle and refer readers to checkout for full conditions. Support should clarify which schedule applies rather than having the patient infer it from a monthly-equivalent price. Paying does not guarantee prescribing or dispensing, according to the platform’s disclaimer.

Sesame puts the chosen clinician at the center of care

Success by Sesame begins with a questionnaire, provider selection and a video consultation. Its subscription includes telehealth visits, unlimited messaging and ongoing clinical care, while medication costs are separate. The Wegovy page specifically describes messaging the provider for prescription renewals without booking a separate refill visit. Sesame also says the provider handles medication prior-authorization paperwork. These descriptions identify a clinical contact, but they do not establish a numerical messaging-response deadline or guaranteed prescription.

Account support has a different role. Sesame offers itemized bills through support@sesamecare.com for possible HSA or FSA reimbursement; eligibility is not guaranteed by receiving that bill. For membership cancellation, general terms specify that same email or +1 (877) 947-6411 at least 48 hours before renewal processing. Because the program page instead describes self-cancellation before the next cycle, request confirmation of receipt and the effective date rather than relying solely on the less restrictive wording.

Walgreens pharmacy chat is not a prescriber visit

Walgreens documents a general weight-management pathway beginning with a questionnaire and, if qualified, an on-demand video visit. Most subsequent visits are described as chat-based, with additional video visits available. Initial visits start at $49; follow-up chat visits and additional video visits cost $49 each, with medication excluded and no subscription required. A clinical chat encounter should therefore not be confused with an unpriced customer-service exchange or assumed to be included in an earlier visit.

Separately, Walgreens advertises secure pharmacy-expert chat available 24/7, including in its app, with printable or emailable transcripts. That page says a wait may be necessary and that the service is not for emergencies or a substitute for advice from the patient’s physician. Availability alone does not establish a zero fee. Its Bridge page also describes automatic next-month refills after an approved Walgreens fill; the consulted documentation does not explain how to deactivate that arrangement.

Found distinguishes human care, AI access and insurance billing

Found says patients can message the care team between visits and describes monthly follow-up for compounded tirzepatide. Its advertised 24/7 access to Aimee is access to an AI health companion, not a promise of continuous human clinical availability. Care format also depends on payment: Found describes synchronous video visits before each refill for insurance patients, with a visit copay typically around $30 additional to the plan price; cash-pay care is asynchronous text-based in most cases without a separate visit copay.

Found’s billing consent adds obligations that an ordinary support conversation may not erase. It specifies a $30 fee for missing a scheduled consultation or canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice. Post-claim invoices are due within 15 days, after which the card on file may be charged. Its renewal policy recommends canceling or pausing at least 48 hours before the scheduled charge and says renewal payments are nonrefundable. Keep appointment cancellation and subscription cancellation separate.

When one problem needs two separate requests

A shipping complaint may need both administrative handling and medication-specific review. CoreAge Rx asks patients to contact its Patient Care Team promptly for lost or damaged shipments and says it will coordinate with the pharmacy or carrier for replacement or reshipment when applicable. Separately, FDA advises not using an injectable GLP-1 product that arrives warm or inadequately refrigerated and contacting the provider or dispensing pharmacy. A replacement request does not itself answer whether a delivered product should be used.

Likewise, ending future billing does not necessarily reverse an existing pharmacy order. CoreAge Rx’s policy makes prescription sales final after approval and transmission to the pharmacy, even before shipping, and imposes a separate 30-calendar-day refund cutoff, subject to applicable law. Found makes medications and lab kits nonreturnable and nonrefundable once dispensed or shipped. Use cancellation notice and order status alongside refund boundaries and exclusions to frame two explicit requests: stop future renewal and assess the current charge.

Questions & answers

At CoreAge Rx, should I email support about a treatment change?

Its help center directs medical questions to the portal’s doctor-contact function, while support@coreagerx.com handles billing and technical issues. You can ask support for access help, but an administrative reply should not be treated as a prescribing decision. The published approximately 24-hour estimate concerns initial medical feedback, not a guaranteed deadline for every later message.

Sources: [25] [10]
Can Ro’s insurance concierge change my treatment?

Ro documents the concierge’s role as benefits verification, paperwork, prior authorization and pharmacy coordination. Its provider reviews health information and recommends treatment if appropriate. Ask the concierge about coverage status and the provider about treatment options. Insurance denial does not automatically establish medical ineligibility, and concierge assistance does not guarantee coverage.

Sources: [19] [11]
Does Enhance.MD support answer clinical questions around the clock?

The documentation does not establish that. Enhance.MD publishes customer-support hours and offers care-team communication through its private portal, but no ongoing clinical response deadline is specified. Its eligibility refund covers 100% of the initial payment when someone is found ineligible during onboarding; that is not a general refund promise for every concern raised through support.

Sources: [8] [9] [5]
Does canceling Sesame mean I receive a refund?

Not necessarily. The program page offers a full refund for cancellation at least three hours before the initial visit starts, but no first-month refund after that visit occurs. General membership terms exclude prorated refunds for the current paid term. Ask support which provision applies to your plan and distinguish stopping renewal from requesting money back.

Sources: [23] [6]
Is Walgreens pharmacy chat the same as weight-management follow-up?

No. The documentation describes separate pharmacy-expert chat and clinician follow-up visits. Pharmacy chat advertises 24/7 availability with possible waiting; weight-management follow-up chat visits cost $49 each. Neither description establishes immediate prescriber access. The pharmacy-chat page expressly says it is not intended for medical emergencies and does not replace physician advice.

Sources: [20] [13]
Does Found’s “with insurance” pricing mean insurance pays for compounded medication?

No. Found’s billing consent makes patients responsible for compounded GLP-1 charges and says not to submit those amounts to insurance. The insurance-linked pricing reflects clinical-care coverage, with possible copays, coinsurance and deductibles. Direct a questionable medication charge to billing, while asking the clinical team separately about treatment; Found also identifies its subscription fee as a noncovered service.

Our assessment

The strongest practical distinction is between access and authority: a support team can receive a request without having authority to change treatment, approve insurance coverage or reverse a pharmacy order. These providers document useful channels, but none of the cited availability language should be converted into an invented response-time guarantee. Before enrolling, obtain the billing interval, cancellation route, dispensing pharmacy and clinical-message pathway in writing. When a problem crosses roles, open separate, clearly labeled requests and retain the replies. Clear documentation helps manage expectations, but it does not establish clinical quality or guarantee a favorable refund decision.
