GLP-1 Refund Guarantees: What Is Covered, What Is Excluded, and When Money Returns

A guarantee may protect an initial payment without covering consultations, renewals or pharmacy orders. Six providers’ public terms show why the trigger and deadline matter as much as the promise.

A refund promise is most useful when you can finish the sentence: “I get back this payment if this event happens before this deadline.” GLP-1 enrollment pages do not always make those details equally prominent. A promise tied to medical ineligibility is different from permission to cancel before an appointment, and neither necessarily protects a renewal payment or medication already sent to a pharmacy.

Public documentation from CoreAge Rx, Ro, Enhance.MD, Sesame, Walgreens and Found illustrates those differences. The pages consulted October 19, 2026, also contain unresolved conflicts, including a full-refund promise alongside a consultation-fee deduction. This guide examines the documented guarantees without treating them as guarantees of treatment results. Its practical purpose is to help readers identify which payment is protected, when protection ends, and what confirmation to request before enrolling.

At a glance

Start with the protected payment, not the headline

The providers use different refund triggers. Ro and Enhance.MD describe eligibility protections, Sesame describes an appointment-cancellation window, and Found separates membership refunds from medication and laboratory-kit exclusions. CoreAge Rx publishes conflicting descriptions of what medical rejection returns. These are not interchangeable versions of a general satisfaction guarantee. None of these documented promises establishes a right to reimbursement simply because a patient does not achieve a desired amount of weight loss.

The comparison below is a starting point, not a substitute for the terms attached to a particular purchase. Identify whether checkout collects a consultation fee, membership, medication payment or several components together. Then ask which component the guarantee names. Our guide to terms worth reading before enrollment provides a broader framework for recording those distinctions before authorizing payment.

CoreAge Rx: a full-refund promise meets a fee exclusion

CoreAge Rx’s FAQ explains that payment occurs before medical review to secure pricing and a pharmacy-queue position. It then promises an automatic 100% refund if the provider does not approve the prescription. The refund policy describes a narrower outcome: the refundable treatment or medication portion returns to the original payment method, while an applicable $50–$100 provider consultation fee remains nonrefundable. Another FAQ passage says medication is billed when shipped, leaving the collection sequence unresolved as well.

Its policy creates two further boundaries. An order may be canceled before prescription approval and transmission to the pharmacy, provided it has not otherwise become nonrefundable. Once both approval and transmission occur, prescription sales are final—even before shipment. Separately, orders become nonrefundable 30 calendar days after purchase even if incomplete or unshipped, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Because requested records, identification or provider answers can affect completion, ask how outstanding documentation will be tracked against that deadline.

Ro and Enhance.MD: eligibility protection is not broad cancellation protection

Ro advertises a “risk-free start” under which the initial $39 is refunded if the person is not eligible for GLP-1s. The same pricing page also says membership is charged only if treatment eligibility is established. Those statements leave the exact payment sequence unclear. Membership excludes medication and includes a personalized plan, insurance concierge, messaging, check-ins, coaching and laboratory testing if necessary. The guarantee should therefore not be expanded into a promise to refund every expense associated with seeking medication.

Enhance.MD promises 100% of the initial payment if onboarding determines that the patient is ineligible for its formulation. Its FAQ places payment after intake and before a virtual meeting; it also requires identity verification before healthcare services can be provided. The consulted documentation does not establish general refunds for unused portions of longer plans. Payment does not guarantee prescribing or dispensing, and the platform distinguishes its administrative role from care delivered by independent medical groups.

Sesame and Found: the first consultation can change the refund position

Success by Sesame offers a full refund when cancellation occurs at least three hours before the initial visit starts. It expressly rules out a first-month refund once that visit has occurred, and previous months’ fees are not refundable. General membership terms also exclude prorated refunds for the current paid term while allowing access through its end. The documentation does not fully explain how the program’s initial-visit promise applies to every three-, six- or twelve-month prepaid purchase.

Found lists two favorable membership-refund conditions: cancellation within three days of the original purchase, or before completing the first medical consultation. A following sentence says the fee becomes nonrefundable after either event has occurred, introducing ambiguity about how those conditions interact. Its separate medical-disqualification provision is more specific: being ineligible for all treatment options can support a membership refund, but being denied a particular preferred GLP-1 while remaining eligible for alternatives does not.

Stopping renewal does not reverse an existing charge

Sesame’s program page permits self-cancellation before the next billing cycle, but its general membership terms specify an email or telephone request at least 48 hours before renewal processing. Found recommends canceling or pausing at least 48 hours before renewal and states that renewal payments are nonrefundable. Those are different formulations: Sesame’s general terms impose a minimum notice deadline, while Found describes a recommended buffer. Keep both the scheduled processing date and the submitted cancellation time.

CoreAge Rx allows subscription cancellation through the patient account or Patient Care Team to prevent future renewal charges. Its help center describes optional subscriptions, while its FAQ says there are no automatic rebills. Enhance.MD’s FAQ describes automatic renewal every 28 days, while product pages advertise longer billing intervals; its terms require cancellation before the next cycle. Our explanation of cancellation notice and order status separates stopping future billing from requesting money already collected.

Read prepayment terms before choosing a lower monthly figure

Ro’s membership costs $39 for the first month, followed by $149 monthly on the monthly plan; its advertised equivalent as low as $74 per month requires annual prepayment. Medication remains separate. Enhance.MD’s injectable semaglutide Core plan displays $212 per month for its plan labeled twelve months, billed every 48 weeks, versus $249 per month for its one-month option, billed every four weeks. Those product blocks advertise $100 off the first order for longer plans and $50 for the one-month plan.

Neither a displayed monthly equivalent nor a package label establishes a right to a prorated refund. Found’s commercial page ties minimum prices to twelve-month upfront payment, while its terms describe 28-day billing cycles, a discrepancy to resolve before purchase. Sesame likewise calls its $99 option monthly but elsewhere specifies advance billing every 28 days. Four weeks is not a calendar month. Ask for the initial collection amount, later billing dates and refund rules together, as outlined in monthly prices versus commitments.

A pharmacy order and a delivery problem need separate answers

Found makes medications and laboratory kits nonreturnable and nonrefundable once dispensed or shipped, even unused. CoreAge Rx’s cutoff comes earlier, after prescription approval and transmission for fulfillment. Its delivery policy separately says lost or damaged shipments will be reviewed, with replacement or reshipment coordinated when applicable. That is not an unconditional cash-refund promise. CoreAge Rx estimates order completion in approximately five to seven business days when all required information is submitted promptly, although processing times may vary. It separately estimates arrival approximately two to three business days after pharmacy shipment.

Walgreens advertises no subscription, with initial Weight Management visits starting at $49 and follow-up chat or additional video visits costing $49 each, excluding medication. The consulted pages do not establish specific consultation-cancellation or GLP-1 refund rules, so no refund guarantee can be assumed. Across services, responsibility can shift between platform, clinical practice and dispensing pharmacy. Our guide to mapping service responsibilities helps identify whom to contact without confusing a billing request with a treatment question.

Issued, processed and received describe different refund stages

CoreAge Rx says approved refunds are generally processed within five to ten business days, with additional time potentially required by the financial institution before the credit appears. Approved refunds involving Klarna, Affirm or another financing provider are submitted through that provider. Enhance.MD similarly describes five to ten business days for processing, not a guaranteed bank-credit date. Found’s documentation says granted refunds may take up to 30 days. None of those statements should be rewritten as a promise of spendable funds on a particular day.

Request written confirmation of the approved amount, any retained fee, the payment destination and the processing date. If financing was involved, also ask how the refund affects the financing account rather than assuming an installment obligation has disappeared. For CoreAge Rx, billing questions go to support@coreagerx.com; Enhance.MD publishes support@enhance.md and 1-888-299-5088. Retain the original receipt and cancellation confirmation so a later inquiry can distinguish an unapproved refund request from an approved refund still moving through payment processing.

Questions & answers

Does CoreAge Rx return every dollar if its clinician declines treatment?

Its documentation does not give a consistent answer. The FAQ promises an automatic 100% refund when the prescription is not approved, but the policy retains an applicable $50–$100 consultation fee. Ask which rule applies to your purchase and obtain the refundable amount in writing before paying.

Does Ro’s initial refund promise cover insurance denial?

The documented $39 promise concerns GLP-1 treatment ineligibility, not simply an insurer refusing coverage. Ro separately says that patients without medication coverage can choose cash-pay options or cancel membership. That cancellation option does not itself establish a refund of previously collected membership fees.

Sources: [1] [12]
Can Enhance.MD’s guarantee be used after an unsuccessful treatment period?

The documented guarantee covers the initial payment when onboarding finds the patient ineligible for its formulation. It is not presented as a weight-loss-results guarantee. The consulted documentation does not establish a general right to recover unused longer-plan payments or receive a refund because treatment did not meet expectations.

Sources: [3]
How early should a Sesame member request cancellation?

For the initial-visit refund, the program specifies at least three hours before the visit starts. For membership renewal, general terms specify at least 48 hours before renewal processing, by email to support@sesamecare.com or telephone at +1 (877) 947-6411. These are separate deadlines serving separate purposes.

Does Walgreens’ no-subscription model mean a declined prescription is free?

No such promise is established by the consulted pages. Walgreens separates visit charges from medication costs and explicitly says prescribing depends on medical evaluation and is not guaranteed. Before booking, request the applicable rules for declined prescriptions, appointment cancellation, missed visits and refunding consultation fees.

Sources: [9]
Will Found refund membership if I cannot receive my preferred GLP-1?

Not on that basis alone if other treatment options remain available. Found distinguishes rejection of a specific medication from medical disqualification from all options. Also check appointment obligations: its billing consent specifies a $30 fee for missing a scheduled consultation or canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Our assessment

These guarantees offer meaningful but limited protection: some address initial medical ineligibility, while others preserve a short opportunity to cancel before care begins. Their value depends on the payment covered, retained fees, order status and renewal timing—not the reassuring headline alone. CoreAge Rx’s conflicting refund language and Found’s ambiguous membership window especially warrant written clarification. Where documentation is silent, as with specific Walgreens refund rules, silence is not a guarantee or proof that no remedy exists. Before paying, obtain the applicable policy and itemized charge; after cancellation, confirm both future billing status and any separately approved refund. Finally, distinguish a refund being issued or processed from money actually reaching the account.
